Synopsis for "Showdown In The Shimmering Zone"

N-Man was falling from the sky to the ultra-radioactive zone in Yucca Flats, while communicating with Colonel Powers. N-Man refused to open his parachute upon falling down, much to the Colonel's annoyance, causing him to crash into the ground where he encountered various mutated animals and plants. Eventually, N-Man lost signal as he went deeper into the radioactive zone. Suddenly, the Soviet spy Comrade Cockroach appeared and attacked N-Man, triggering a fight until the former seemingly won by throwing the latter into liquified glass, where he sank.

Then, Comrade Cockroach attempted to climb, attempting to resist the zone's gravitational pull, until he was attacked by N-Man, who had returned. Suddenly, thousands of rocks were sucked into a crater less than thirty feet wide and Cockroach began to shrink and fell inside of the crater, while N-Man unsuccessfully attempted to save him.

Meanwhile, Colonel Powers was searching for the N-Man when the latter's assistant Sally Stevens had arrived for him. Suddenly, N-Man had returned and was sprayed down with anti-radiation foam before embracing Sally and learning that Infra-Man had sent a message.

Synopsis for "Flipsville"

Johnny Beyond was walking down the street, smoking a cigarette, when he encountered a woman named "Headlights" Halloran, who asked about a location called "The Laundry". Johnny took the woman to an actual laundry, when in fact, she was looking for a bar called The Laundry.

Next, the two went to a café, where the woman attempted to use her cell phone, but assumed that there was poor reception. The woman suddenly spat out her coffee before walking out with Johnny, much to Dino's chagrin. Then, the two went to Johnny's residence on Charles Street, where coincidentally, Headlights lived as well. When they had arrived outside of the woman's apartment, Johnny claimed that the apartment had belonged to his friend Lips Lincoln. However, when they entered, the room was more familiar to the woman than it was to Johnny.

Then, Headlights' significant other, John Behan, had arrived, and she had introduced him to Johnny Beyond, who happened to be the same person. Johnny, who was confused, attempted to leave, but he and Headlights realized that the building was folding in on itself. Then, the two went back inside where they saw Lips Lincoln playing the saxophone. Next, they went to John's room, where they attempted to contact Tibetan magician Garab Dorje using the Necrosphere. Suddenly, they exited the house again and found themselves in the 1930s, where Johnny used his ectoplasmic double to scare away bystanders to prevent them from being trapped in 1963.

Then, John Behan attacked Johnny Beyond, accusing him of drugging him in order to trap his Headlights. Eventually, the house was trapped in between worlds until it returned to the present. Then, John Behan approached Lips Lincoln, who learned that Johnny Beyond had become lost in between the parallel worlds.
