At some point between the 7th[1] and 12th[2] centuries, the Daemonite Lord Helspont took over the body of an Acuran, possessing it from thereafter.
In 1986, an Acuran named Photon was on board a ship with the Katellan Kh'ambt, his bitter rival, and they crash-landed on Earth. Alexander Graves, a high-ranking member of the Pentagon, made first contact with them by entering their ship. Photon was at a disadvantage since he couldn't speak the local language, and Kh'ambt was not cooperative. Photon was told he'd get sanctuary in exchange for his knowledge of Acuran technology,[3] but in reality, Photon and Kh'ambt were imprisoned beneath the Pentagon with restraint collars. Six days later, Graves offered Photon and Kh'ambt the chance to join a task force where they'd be free and avoid "the dissection lab." This task force was called Youngblood.[4] Despite their public spotlight, the government covered up their alien origins.[5]
In 1992, an Acuran Ambassador arrived on Earth's orbit in search of Photon.[3]
