Synopsis for 1st story
Allegra wakes up tied to a pole with surface dwellers worshipping her. Their leader, Lak, approaches and tells her that Huber is manipulating her and that Midian has evil intentions toward the world. She disbelieves him, but then he shows her a glimpse of the green, healthy world she sees in her visions. Elsewhere, Huber and J locate her, and Huber orders a test. Suddenly, a squad of Kioram guards attack Allegra and the surface dwellers. Lak flees while Allegra fights back. She questions one of the guards who reveals she is in Kioram territory. Another knocks her out and captures her. She wakes up in Kioram to Dr. Tullus standing over her. He reveals to her his ultimate plan to reclaim and restore the surface, showing her another vision of a green planet. Tullus invites her to join him and be his emissary to the people of Midian. Just then, Keres captures her in an energy field and pulls her outside through the wall. Sent to retrieve her, Keres accuses her of treason and fires an energy blast through her torso.
