Synopsis for 1st story
Allegra finds herself in the regenerative creche again while Huber and J observe her naked, restrained, and hooked up to equipment. Her apparition lookalike visits her and tells her to reject the combat armor just before Huber pulls her from the creche. Allegra refuses to wear the armor and resume her role as lead guard. Instead, she leaves to walk through Midian as a civilian. She turns a corner and sees a featureless, null space. Elsewhere, Huber and J are monitoring her and have Keres appear to arrest her for treason. Allegra flees through the colony, but Keres and her deputies pursue her. Soon, Keres captures her in an energy field and slams her into some buildings before dropping her through a skylight below. Allegra emerges fully armored, says her name is Jennifer Gold, and vows to take down Keres and Huber.
