Synopsis for "Clickety Split"

Chester LaBeau (or who appeared to be him) gave tea to his grandmother Vera, which killed her, as it was poisoned.

Then, the narrator, a man called the Grave Robber, introduced himself.

As Vera LaBeau laid dead, her "grandson" stole her jewelry and declared that Hitler's dream would live on. A few minutes later, Mack and Louise saw Commissioner Bradley outside of Vera LaBeau's house. He saw Bradley talking to a man who he recognized was one of his Nazi captors during World War II, who gave him the powers of the Blitz. As a woman with her baby in a stroller crossed the street in front of Mack's taxi, he quickly transformed into the Blitz and pushed the woman and the stroller out of the way.

Later, the Blitz visited Commissioner Bradley's office and questioned him about "Chester", learning that he was going to the First National Bank to claim Vera's money. The Blitz rushed to the bank and saw a man attempting to rob them with a gun. He quickly defeated the gunman and learned that "Chester" had already left with Vera's money. A bank employee told the Blitz Chester's address and the Golden Galloper rushed to his apartment and found the impostor's next target: Jonathan Cain, whose wife Edna had recently died.

At the Cain Lakeshore Estate, Jonathan Cain laid in a bed with his "grandson William", who killed him with poisoned tea. Afterwards, "William" opened the window and saw what appeared to be Jonathan's giant dentures, which attacked him. "William" attempted to fight back with a poker from the fireplace, but started a fire. The Blitz, who was outside, rushed in an attempt to save him, but failed due to the intensity of the fire. Afterwards, Commissioner Bradley investigated the ruins and deduced that somebody had physically tortured "William" before the fire.

In the end, the Grave Robber claimed that he did not kill the impostor, but "one cane helped out the other Cain!"

Synopsis for "There Was an Old Lady"

Knight Watchman inspected a rundown, reportedly haunted house at the edge of Midway City. There had been a series of thefts in Midway City; the latest was the theft of a bread delivery van belonging to the Superior Bread Company. Knight Watchman traced the van to the house.

Inside of another house, he discovered items stolen in previous thefts upon examining the building. He finally came upon a room, where he encountered an old woman who resembled a young woman from a painting in the house. Knight Watchman told the woman about the stolen goods. Then, the woman attacked Knight Watchman and a fight begun.

Knight Watchman knocked off the woman's wig, revealing it to be a mask worn by Mr. Mask himself. The Twilight Sentinel claimed that there were two things that gave away Mr. Mask's presence, as the former led the latter out of the house and locked it before declaring that he would bring him to justice.
