Synopsis for "The Golden Age Beacon"

Geologist Scott Martin found himself at the bottom of a pit with the lamp in his hard hat broken after falling down. He tried to look for another way out when he encountered a civilization called Shanzar that took him to their leader Tyrnos, who accused him of being a spy.

Scott was subsequently thrown into the dungeon, where he met Zarkon, the deposed ruler who told the new prisoner that Tyrnos retained power by wearing the Ko-Dan crystal on his crown that powered the city, as well as using his daughter as leverage against him. Scott was able to break out with Zarkon using a pickaxe that Tyrnos did not take from him.

Tyrnos summoned Areel, the mind-controlled daughter of Zarkon. Meanwhile, Scott insisted on confronting Tyrnos, while Zarkon rallied supporters. As Tyrnos was informed that the prisoners had escaped, Scott arrived and witnessed the despot use the power of the Ko-Dan. The battle ended when Scott defeated Tyrnos by using his willpower to steal the Ko-Dan from him and crush him with his own throne.

The next day, Zarkon and Areel thanked Scott, who asked to keep the Ko-Dan and "stand against the others like Tyrnos like a Beacon of justice", which the newly restored ruler agreed to.

Gemologist Julia Gardner was driving to work when she saw a flying saucer crash nearby and stopped to check for survivors. She entered the spaceship where a dying female Dextron pointed to a jewel. After the alien died, Julia took the jewel to study before the spaceship exploded. She realized that she would be late for work and believed that only flying there could help her arrive on time. Her car started flying, displaying the jewel's powers. However, Julia was late and when she arrived, she and her assistant Regina studied the gem and the former transformed into a protective suit. As Julia's father entered, she transformed out of her suit and insisted that she had work to do. Then, the two women heard on the radio about another alien spaceship arriving with the army there to confront them. Julia transformed back and dubbed herself the Beacon before she intervened in the battle between the US Army and the aliens. The Beacon single-handedly defeated the aliens by making them think that the Dextrons had formed an alliance with the humans, destroying their weapons, and throwing their ship back into space. Later, Julia went to her father's house where he and his daughter's partner Captain Jordan Stuart and discussed the Beacon. Julia insisted that she was working in her lab all day while the Beacon defeated the aliens.
