By coincidence, Knight Watchman and ShadowHawk both decided to travel to Washington, D.C. At the Pentagon, the military received a transmission from an alien, who announced that they would conquer Earth. Both Knight Watchman and ShadowHawk spotted a flying saucer and decided to go after it together. The flying saucer crashed and both heroes arrived at the site. Meanwhile, in his secret lair, a man known as Agent "X" learned that Knight Watchman and ShadowHawk have gotten involved in his plans. They went to debriefing, where they met J. Edgar Hoover, who asked them both to lead the investigation. Knight Watchman learned that the saucer was made by Dr. Igor Eisner, who also made the Flying Shield. ShadowHawk brought up that Keefhauser and Eisner were both missing, but the former had returned. They located Eisner at the Lincoln Memorial, where they found him held hostage by Comrade X.
