Synopsis for "Murder By Microphone Part II"

Shadow Lady appeared before a surprised and frightened Fabbersham and shot a ray into his eyes before starting to interrogate him. She brought up Sophie Schotek von Schotkova and her curiosity regarding how she could suddenly sing well despite her poor acting ability. Fabbersham brought up Maurice Dvorak, a once great singer who began teaching Sophie to sing after he lost his own ability to do so. As Fabbersham continued explaining to Shadow Lady, the lights went out.

At Professor Prescott's laboratory, he had invented the Inviso-Ray and showed it to Veronica. He claimed that the lumen diffuser was the final component. Meanwhile, Hank was sad that his favorite radio star Cowboy Roy had been killed. In order to cheer him up, Veronica offered to let him escort her and her friend Mazie to the Wexlo Science Awards banquet the following Saturday. Then, Veronica placed the lumen diffuser into her pocket.

Later that night, Veronica learned that Dvorak was also an inventor who invented the Vocal Resonator and speculated that he could have used it to help Sophie sing and was exacting revenge on WXKZ, as his contract with them made him lose the copyright to his device. Then, Mazie arrived at her residence.

Past midnight, the police visited Fabbersham after the death of opera singer Hermione Pflankhorst and suspected that he could have been behind all of the murders. After the police left, Fabbersham heard the sound of Sophie's voice and it began to hypnotize him, as Dvorak had planned.

The next day, Hank kept asking Veronica about Mazie, as the two detected a dangerous alien frequency through a radio. Early that evening, Veronica and Mazie were getting ready for the banquet, as they learned from the radio that Hermione Pflankhorst would be replaced by Sophie Schotek von Schotkova. Then, Veronica insisted on giving Mazie her dress and meeting her and Hank at the hotel in an hour. Veronica duplicated herself. declaring Shadow Lady out of retirement. She instructed Shadow Lady to go to the radio towers, while she went to the banquet.

At the studio of W.O.W. -TV, Chicago's lowest rated television station, its co-owner Waldo O. Wendell told his niece and partner Kitty Philips that they had still fallen last in ratings. Their station's broadcast was interrupted by Redbeard the Pirate, who announced his robbery of the first national bank. Redbeard and the Air Pirates would strike multiple times throughout the next few weeks.

As the police had constantly failed to capture Redbeard, Kitty decided to invent a device and take on the identity of the Masker in order to track Redbeard's signal the next time he hijacks it. After crossing town, she spotted the Air Pirates and saw them on their way to another job. After telling Uncle Waldo, he told her that the Air Pirates only broadcasted on W.O.W. -TV, causing their ratings to skyrocket. Then, the Air Pirates arrived and locked her in the closet while attempting to steal the station's profits.

While locked in the closet, she changed into the Masker again and attacked the pirates from the air ducts, while they attempted to broadcast. Then, Cowboy Bob assisted her by tying them up with his lasso. The Masker hit Redbeard with a sword that was actually a prop and tore off his beard, revealing it to be a fake and his true identity to be the gangster "Fat Boy" Wilson.

Later, Waldo told Kitty that ratings were up due to Cowboy Bob fighting the pirates and their later interview with the Masker.

Mike and Jenny left, as Frank watched. Suddenly, they were attacked by Vargos, who ripped both Mike and Jenny in half and used his vampiretic blood to stick one half of both lovers together. Now stuck together, Mike and Jenny returned to their apartment and realized what had happened to them. Jenny was offended that Mike exclaimed that they had become one "thing." In order to prove his love for her, Mike set his eye on the world's largest diamond, "The Heart of the Dinosaur" at the T-Rex Casino as both a wedding gift and revenge. Mike and Jenny returned and opened fire on the casino, dubbing themselves as "the Better Half."

As the Dimensionneer, Frank eavesdropped on the police band radio and internet before arriving at the casino. Upon laying eyes on the Better Half, he realized that they were Jenny and Mike. They attacked the Dimensioneer with two giant dies before making their way to Vargos. When the Better Half opened fire on Vargos, the Dimensioneer opened portals below and above them to keep them falling until more police arrived. The Dimensioneer was surprised that Vargos was unharmed by gunfire. Police arrived to arrest the Better Half, scoffing at the thought of Vargos being a vampire.

She quickly stopped them and helped the man, but believed that she was too late to see the Beatles with her friends.

She learned that the man was their manager Brian Epstein. While Sally and Debbie watched the Beatles, Ladybug got autographed pictures of them backstage from Epstein.
