Synopsis for 1st story
Cabbot’s new boss Lucas Solomon shows footage of a group of supervillains led by the psychic Epiphany escaping from Hyde Penitentiary shortly after Cabbot and the Order of the Knight broke out Warwolf. Solomon orders Cabbot to recapture the villains or else he, Athena, and Bailout will face treason charges. Later, Cabbot parachutes onto a secret base in Alaska that Mars Gunther is using as a hideout. An addled Gunther meets him and takes him to four containment units. In Virginia, Epiphany’s henchmen the Horde break into the CIA to acquire part of an alien artifact called the Pedestal. Athena and Bailout are waiting for them. Athena overcomes two of them, but the third takes Bailout hostage. Just then, Cabbot arrives with the freshly resurrected members of the Bloodstrike team. At her ancestral home, Epiphany senses the confrontation and dismisses it. She states that, once she has all the fragments of the Pedestal, she will demonstrate her power.
Notes
- This issue is part of the aftermath of the "Extreme Sacrifice" crossover with Brigade, New Men, Prophet, Supreme, Team Youngblood, and Youngblood Strikefile.
- As revealed in Bloodstrike #23, the supposedly resurrected members of the Bloodstrike team shown in this issue are actually clones.
