Synopsis for "Bloodstrike Brutalists Part Two: "Tag, You're It!""

Tag recalls how after Bloodstrike fought Brigade, she had sex with a guy named Max she picked up at the bar Loose Ends, who is revealed as a sex offender. The morning after, Bloodstrike flew to the Colorado Mountains to fight Supreme, who butchered the team. Luckily for Deadlock, he got to sit out the mission, as he was due for some chest reconstruction. Tag is the only survivor of the mission, and she uses the downtime to look for more hook ups. She visits Dent Noires, where she worked for a summer, and hooks up with a man named Erik. When Erik tries to knock Tag unconscious with chlorophorm, Tag uses her powers to immobilize him. She investigates Erik's executive suite, finding a lot of former coworkers from Dent Noires, including a girl named Marissa, who are drugged and mutilated while still being kept alive. She takes the girls to Project: Born Again, but the doctors fail to save them, and regular humans aren't compatible with the resurrection process. Tag's only trusted scientist, Sean, explains to her that the girl's limbs have been repurposed as spare parts for Bloodstrike members, and Roam's teleportation delivered each girl's body to their respective counties anonymously. Sadly, because Erik is a member of the Covenant of the Sword, he's freed with no charges. Afterward, Bloodstrike battles Quantum, and every member except Tag dies. Too many eyes are on Cabbot, but she manages to drag her other teammates to Project: Born Again. Sean begins healing them, and also prepares clones to replace them. While that's being taken care of, Tag decides to get revenge on Dents Noires. Meanwhile, Max developed a painful skin condition from Tag's touch, and his doctor friend John can't help him. He heads to the bar Loose Ends, where the owner tells him his waitress recognised Tag because both of them used to work at the bar Dents Noires. At the same time, Private Investigator Heaton of Heaton & Rotheray Investigations is looking into a series of disappearing girls caused by Erik's sadism. After the case officer, Otis, dies "in the line of duty", the woman who hired Heaton gets paranoid and shakes Heaton to double his efforts in finding her daughter Marissa. Heaton laments that his partner Rotheray is on vacation. He tells his secretary Gladys to do more research, and worries about his own daughter, Brenda. Heaton calls police officer Jimmy and sweet-talks him into giving him the report of Officer Otis's death. After that, he calls Otis's partner, Alexander. Later, Gladys informs Heaton that all the disappeared girls worked for the club Dents Noires. Tag, Max and Heaton arrive at Dents Noires at the same time. While Tag collects all the evidence she can and burns the building down, Max's freaky appearance causes Heaton to being fighting him, but the two are blown away by gunshots from Officer Alexander. Suddenly, Tag freezes Alexander and leaves. She turns in her evidence against the Covenant of the Sword to Internal Affairs, certain it won't make a difference, but not worried about crossing the Covenant, because Bloodstrike is an embarrassing liability and it's most certainly being shut down. Tag convinces Deadlock, Shogun and Fourplay of quitting the team with her, letting their clones cover for them. Later, the newspaper announces Officer Alexander developed a rare skin disease, hinting that Max transferred his consciousness into his body before he died.
