Brian became possessed by a demon a while back. Reverend Anderson attempted to help him but unknowingly failed in his exorcism.
Brian reacts poorly to Kyle's touch implying h is possessed.
When the Reverend and Kyle Barnes learned that Kyle's touch hurt people possessed by Demons, they revisited Brian to see if he would react to Kyle's touch. He did and they quickly ran out to contemplate their next move.[1]
When Sidney visited Brian, he informed Sidney about Kyle's actions and that they are getting too close. Sidney told Brian to stand down, and that he would take care of the two.[2]
