Synopsis for 1st story

The issue opens with Brit being chased by a giant tyrannosaurus rex. Brit yells at Donald to shoot it as it grabs him in it's mouth and tries to bite his leg off. Donald hits it with a bunch of tranquilizer missiles and it crashes to the ground. Brit can't believe he came out of retirement for this. Suddenly a pterodactyl swoops down and grabs Donald in it's claws and flies off.

Brit quickly looks through their weapons and selects a grappling hook gun. He shots and connects with the dinosaur's tail. He tries to pull it down with the rope but he isn't strong enough and the dinosaur keeps flying with him holding on. But the pterodactyl doesn't notice a plane flying near them and get's sucked into the jet engine and gets itself killed.

Brit and Donald pull themselves off of the ground and Donald tries to talk to Brit. Brit says he doesn't want to go over things again but Donald says that Jessica told him she received divorce papers and that Brit won't talk to her. Brit replies that they don't have anything to talk about. He tells Donald to tell her to sign the papers. She'll get a nice check in the mail every month and she can get on with her life. Brit says he's starting over and storms off.

Later at the laundromat, Brit is waiting for his laundry and starts coughing. He's shocked to see one of his teeth fall out. Some government troops repel down from a helicopter next to a bum that is outside of the laundromat. They go in and inform Brit that he is needed in Washington. He tells them to stay there and finish his laundry.

At Jessica's house, Donald tells Jessica that he tried to talk to Brit but it didn't help. She thanks him for trying. But she doesn't know what happened, he is like a different person since his ex-wife Susan died. She tried to give him his space but things kept getting worse. She's trying to be sympathetic about what happened but she's pretty angry about him abandoning his son.

Donald asks how Brittany, Jr. is doing. Jessica says he's good and eating a ton. Donald asks if he's showing any signs of having powers like Brit. She hasn't noticed anything and wonders why he's asking. Donald tells her that Director Slitter told him to ask. Jessica thinks Slitter is not a nice guy and tells Donald to keep him away from her son. Donald starts assuring Jessica that it is not just her, that Brit has been withdrawing from everyone when he gets interrupted by work calling. He tells her he has to go and flies off.

At the Pentagon, Brit and Donald head down to the basement. Slitter greets them and explains why he brought them in. A religious cult in Japan has gotten a hold of a tomahawk missile and the recipe for a designer meta-virus. It's an airborne virus that liquefies internal organs. Slitter thinks they are only days from launching the missile. Slitter has a new employee, Ms. Popper, teleport them into Japan.

Once they get there, Donald is shocked to notice that Brit appears to have a bloody nose. Before they can talk about it, they are attacked by a large group of Japanese pygmies. Brit tells Donald to pinpoint the missile's location while he fights and blows stuff up. Donald finds the missile's signature and they see that it is attached to a huge robot that comes to attack them.

Donald says they have to stop the launch and flies at the robot. But the robot grabs Donald and pulls his legs off. Donald warns Brit that the robot is stronger than it looks. Brit jumps onto the robot just as it launches the missile with Brit holding onto it.

On the ground, Donald pulls out his full arsenal of missiles and blows up the robot and cult army. Up above, Brit is still holding onto the missile. Donald radios Brit and says his jet boots are damaged so Brit will have to disable the missile himself. Donald walks Brit through how to do it.

Brit gets the tip of the missile removed but can't disable it. So he says he will try to steer it into the ocean. But when he touches the control panel the missile blows up, sending Brit crashing to the ground in a ball of fire. Donald says that detonating it the air will work and crawls over to talk to Brit. But then he sees that Brit is dead when he finds his burning skeleton.
