Synopsis for the 1st Story

The issue begins with a couple of lowlifes doing a drug deal with an alien. The humans tell the alien they have to test the product. They pull out some kind of alien creature and attach it to one of their arms. It's apparently good and they go to pay for the product. But before the exchange happens a vending machine comes flying out of nowhere and smashes their truck.

They look up and are not happy to see a female DEA agent standing over them. She's holding another vending machine and tells them to stop or she will keep throwing heavy things at them until they are smashed. The alien talks back to her so she slams the vending machine down onto him. Then she calls a Becky on her cell phone and asks for a mop up crew and then the phone emits a bolt of electricity that zaps the spaceship that the drug dealers are trying to escape in. Once she's done she gets an urgent message from Washington about Brit and leaves.

At the Pentagon, Slitter is looking at a pile of Brit's remains. He gets angry that Brit is dead and he can't even get a tissue sample. There is a commotion outside his office and the female DEA agent comes barging in. She demands to see her brother Brit's body.

Elsewhere in the building, Ms. Popper is having lunch when one of the lab workers, Bob, sits down and starts to hit on her. Their conversation is interrupted when it suddenly starts snowing inside the cafeteria. Bob calls in a code seven environmental rupture.

In another part of the building, Donald has his legs rebuilt. He looks upset and tries to gather himself. He finally works up his nerve and calls Jessica. He apologizes for doing this over the phone but he wanted her to hear this from a friend and then he tells her that Brit is dead as they both start crying. Jessica throws her phone and collapses to the ground. Donald's room starts freezing over as he gets off the phone.

Back in Slitter's office, Slitter's men are shooting at the DEA agent to no effect. She tells Slitter to quit wasting her time and let her see the body. She tells him that Cecil sent word about Brit. Slitter sees Cecil's order and tells his men to stand down.

Slitter gives her Brit's skull and says that is all they could recover. She licks the skull and says that it isn't even bone. She crushes the skull and demands to know where he is. Suddenly, Ms. Popper and Donald teleport into the office.

Ms. Popper explains that she was helping the medtechs with an extraction. She thought it went well but something must have went wrong and there was an environmental rupture. She thinks Bob might be dead. Donald adds that it looks like the climate engine has been breached. And now it is venting out a whiteout that keeps heading outward. The whole complex will be ice within an hour.

Slitter wants to know why the fail safes haven't engaged. Donald doesn't know but Ms. Popper will have to teleport him to the cryonics pit so he can engage the manual shutdown. The DEA agent offers to go with him. Donald tells her the temperatures will be below the terminal point and would freeze her blood.

She promises she'll be fine. Donald wonders who she is but Slitter says introductions can wait.

Ms. Popper teleports them down to the cryonic pit and Donald's knee joints immediately freeze up. The DEA agent carries him piggyback while he introduces himself. They make their way over to the shutoff lever and she manages to get the cold shut down.

When the frost from the cold clears they find some kind of tube with a healthy looking Brit inside of it.
