History

Son of the wealthy Bernand Barros Alex left for a research trip with his father and brother Marc but their submarine was shot down by the evil Warlok, luckily for them were rescued by Roman who through the magic of his people was able to give him the ability to breathe underwater and unlock their powers.

Alex thus obtained cryokinetic abilities and was recruited into the second iteration of Brigade by Battlestone, and together with the team he fought against the evil alien Genocide.

On his return to Earth, however, the team was attacked by Bloodstrike and his apparatus that allowed him to control his powers was damaged, triggering a transformation in him that made him an ice creature with great physical prowess.

Traumatized by his own transformation, Alex relied on his girlfriend Thermal for emotional support but they were both apparently killed by the powerful Crypt.

Alex reappeared some time later only to see his beloved woman being killed by his former mentor Battlestone along with the more violent members of Youngblood.

Alex reappeared again years later, after finding out that Battlestone was actually his uncle and learning to control his powers, he was recruited into the last iteration of his old team by Lethal.

Character Powers and Equipment

Powers and Abilities Powers Cryokinesis: The main power of Alex is to project frost blasts capable of generating large quantities of ice. Transformation: Alex has the power to transform into a large creature made of ice, although at the beginning he was not able to control his transformations over the years he learned to assume his human form with an act of will. Superhuman Strength: In his ice form Coldsnap possesses a great physical strength and has shown itself able to overpower strong fighters like his brother and Combat. Superhuman Durability: In his ice form Coldsnapp becomes vastly resistant to damage done by kinetic impacts and bullets. Metamorphosis: Coldsnap has the ability to melt his body in a liquid state and control its shape. Regeneration: In his liquid state, Coldsnap is able to reattach any parts of his body that are cut in combat. With this ability Coldsnapp can easily survive mortal wounds such as beheading. Amphibious: After being rescued by Roman and exposed to the magic of his people, Coldsnap acquired the ability to breathe underwater.
