Synopsis for 1st story
An alien craft crashes near a gas station in rural Nevada. The station’s elderly owners find an alien inside that suddenly grows to massive size and attacks them. At Youngblood headquarters, Alan Keever interrupts Combat’s training to introduce him to FBI agents Eisenhart and LaSheele. Given his alien heritage, they want his help in investigating the incident in Nevada. He agrees, and they fly to the crash site. Combat recognizes a symbol on the craft and deduces that the alien they are looking for is what his people call the Great Evil. Eons ago, it entered this universe and claimed the souls of all the gods except for one. That god created a warrior that defeated and imprisoned the Great Evil. The god then created a mate for the warrior and gave them the planet K’Tella where they sired Combat’s race. Eisenhart tries to talk to the elderly couple, but they transform into alien creatures and forcibly implant him with an embryo. Combat slays them and is about to kill Eisenhart, but LaSheele refuses to let him. As she holds him off, Eisenhart rises transformed behind her, but Combat kills him with an ax. LaSheele tells Combat they are not far from Las Vegas, and he realizes that is where the Great Evil is going. Outside the city, the Great Evil prepares to implant the local population and make them his army.
