Synopsis for "Mindgames!"
Stryker leads Cyberforce against the S.H.O.C.s at a corporate weapons development facility. The S.H.O.C.s set off grenades and flee, leaving behind their newest member Ace of Blades. Stryker grabs him and leaves just before the facility explodes. Later, Ace of Blades awakens in the hospital with Stryker. Dr. Corben shows him the Cyberdata mind control implant, or “brain box”, he removed from him and suggests Stryker explain what it is. Stryker describes how, seven years earlier, he worked as a S.H.O.C. for Cyberdata and was critically wounded during an assignment. When Corben operated on his injuries, he removed an implant from Stryker’s brain. Working with Stryker, Cyblade, scientist John McNally, and McNally’s son Chip, he discovered Cyberdata was using implants to control the S.H.O.C.s. Cyberdata caught them and imprisoned them all except for Cyblade. Later, during a mission, the S.H.O.C.s discovered their targets were actually members of the UN team Stormwatch. To cover their retreat, the telepathic S.H.O.C. Misery triggered Heatwave’s implant and caused him to attack Cyblade. Using a device given to her by Corben, she shut off his implant. Then, she and Stormwatch assaulted the garbage scowl where the others were held and freed them. Tragically, John McNally died during the escape. Together, the survivors formed Cyberforce. After hearing this, Ace of Blades decides to retire. As Stryker exits the hospital, an armed helicopter blows it up, killing Ace of Spades. Stryker avenges him by shooting down the helicopter.
