Synopsis for 1st story
Wracked with guilt, Corben recalls his past with Cyberdata: using alien technology discovered by Zadrok to develop cybernetic technology, the creation of the S.H.O.C.s, and turning against the company to help form Cyberforce. He remembers rumors of the Kraken as the media reports her attacking security installations around the world. In upstate New York, Ballistic tells Stryker she refuses to make a deal with Zadrok, kisses Stryker goodbye, and rides away on her motorcycle. In Antarctica, Kimata has S.H.O.C. captain Joshua Armstrong transformed into a cyborg. Corben tries and fails to make sense of the data from Zadrok so Timmie offers to help him. Later, Timmie contacts James Layter for further instructions. Cyberforce learns Kraken is at a defense contractor facility in Maryland and flies there to investigate. Shortly after they land, an armored U.S. Army unit arrives and fires on Kraken until she teleports away. The unit commander thinks they destroyed her, but Cyberforce is convinced otherwise.
