Synopsis for 1st story
Ripclaw climbs onto a church rooftop and sees Ash, his powers overloading, fall off the side of the building. Hours earlier, Ripclaw visited his faerie associate Kildare to learn what was causing fires across New York City. Kildare explained that someone was using the entire city as a summoning circle, breaching the walls of reality thus enabling demons to cross over. Flying above the city, Heatwave observed the pattern of the fires while Cyberforce helped evacuate burning buildings. Ash noticed the fires burned no fuel and could not be extinguished. In his sanctum, Tristan Beltaine refused to reverse his spell despite the destruction. Ash and Ripclaw joined forces in a cemetery to rescue some children from a pack of demonic wolves and then a demon knight. Ripclaw was then drawn into a nearby church by a trio of fire demonesses. They took him to the roof to consume his soul, but he managed to destroy one. He hung from the rooftop as Ash attacked the other two, overloading his powers. Now, a winged man calling himself Gabriel appears and tells Ripclaw to prepare to be judged.
