History
Cybernet was a terrorist organization led by a man named Giger. In 1987, one of their bases in St. Louis was raided by the CIA-led strike force Operation: Knightstrike members Bruce Stinson, Albert Simmons and Duke. However, the raid had been a set up by Giger, who self-destructed the base, although Operation: Knightstrike made it out alive.[1]
In 1992, Cybernet was hired by Operation: Knightstrike's former boss, Jason Wynn, to murder ex-soldier Bruce Stinson.[1] They attacked Chapel while he was having sex and killed the woman he was with. Chapel disposed of everyone of Cybernet's War Dogs, but the decapitated skull of one of them relayed an audio message from Giger saying the attack was to gain his attention and to meet down on the docks tomorrow evening. The following night, Chapel met Giger and some War Dogs, who warned him Wynn had hired them to murder Chapel. Giger offered to hire Chapel to murder Wynn, but Chapel simply shot Giger's decoy body. From its remains, Giger's voice warned Chapel to watch his back.[2]
