Darkwing was an original member of the Guardians of the Globe.
History
Origins[]
Darkwing's past and motivation are unknown, it is only known that he was an extremely wealthy man who had a personal vendetta against criminals. Despite being originally opposed by authorities they eventually came to approve his activities and he took an apprentice known as Night Boy. He became a member of the Guardians of the Globe and fought the criminal known as Midnight Magician who caused the meteorogical anomaly that caused an everlasting night in Midnight City.[1]
The Guardians meet Omni-Man for the first time.
He and the Guardians met the alien superhero Omni-Man and helped him integrate into human society.[2] He and the Guardians worked with Omni-man for years but were betrayed and murdered by him.[3]
Reboot[]
Years later, Mark touched a white light that put him back into his body at the time before he received his powers and with all of his memories. He attempted to talk to his father about not killing the Guardians of the Globe again.[4] Nolan became angry and immediately attacked Mark. Mark led him to Utah where he tricked Nolan into smashing into the Guardians of the Globe headquarters. He revealed Nolan's plans to the Guardians and they subdued Nolan. Cecil Stedmen soon arrived and agreed to bring Nolan back to the Pentagon and restrain him.[5]Attributes
Abilities
- Genius Level Intellect: Darkwing was one of the world's greatest scientists, criminologists, tacticians and a master of disguise.[1]
- Investigation: He was a peerless investigator with great observation, logical reasoning and deduction skills.[1]
- Tactical Analysis: Due to his lack of powers he used cunning and planning to outwit his foes.[1]
- Martial Arts: Darkwing was in peak physical condition and trained daily in simulated combat.[1]
