Synopsis for 1st story
Rayna Masters and Andrew Barker land at the airport in Gamorra and proceed through customs, all secretly monitored by Hunter-Killers. Armitage recognizes her and is ordered to capture her. Offshore, Deathblow approaches the island in a stealth plane, recalling how Henri Rothschild’s daughter accessed Woodbern’s disk of evidence and found a connection between Project Genesis and organ harvesting in Gamorra. Hunter-Killers abduct Masters from her hotel. Barker tries to stop them but is fooled by a decoy. Cray parachutes out of the plane, remembering his last mission in Gamorra 20 years ago with U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six. Gamorra was a U.S. ally, and the team was sent in to suppress a rebellion. During the mission, Cray had his first encounter with cyborg Hunter-Killers. One of the rebels, a young woman, wanted to expose the human experimentation that created the H-Ks so Cray let her go. Kaizen Gamorra questions Rayna, demanding Woodbern’s disk, and shows her Woodbern being tortured. Deathblow sneaks onto the island and is met by his contact, Mai-Li Tsung. To his surprise, she is the same rebel woman he let go years ago. They infiltrate Kaizen’s compound and meet up with Barker. He reveals that Kaizen has Rayna, enraging Cray.
