History
Dredd is a figure with an unknown past. In the wake of the mysterious death of former Youngblood Program director Alexander Graves and the botched Youngblood rescue of kidnapped media mogul Robert Thomas, Dredd became the new director. Despite being initially hostile to his costumed subordinates, he was an effective administrator, leading the team through the invasion by The Keep and the manhunt for the ShadowHawk Robot.
However, subsequently he began a plan to destabilise the individual members. He released an old enemy of Shaft's from prison, leaving him to frantically chase their new crimes. He arranged for paparazzi to chase Badrock. He erased crucial memories from the minds of Die Hard and Knightsabre, leaving them open to be manipulated. And he perpetrated financial crime on Vogue's cosmetic company, leaving her at an emotional low.
During this campaign, he was confronted by a mysterious figure known as Jeriko, who evidenced knowledge of a shared past and a hostility to their plan, but did not act to stop Dredd. During the climax of this campaign, Dredd confronted Shaft as he was reviewing computer files about Dredd's plan, and gloated that history would not remember him as a traitor.
Dredd's subsequent activities are unrecorded.
