Synopsis for "Desolation Row"
Gen 13 watches over an unconscious Grunge laying atop a pile of rubble. Fairchild recalls her return to Princeton the day before to retrieve some personal belongings. After a brief encounter with her former roommate’s boyfriend, the team arrived in a jet to pick her up. Once aboard, Caitlin changed into her costume as Rainmaker explained that Lynch was deploying the team to confront a mysterious new threat. Sarah and Anna had seen him learn of it from a phone call, and, whatever it was, it left him uncharacteristically terrified. Caitlin tried to talk to him about it, but he angrily ordered her out of the cockpit. Just as the jet arrived over their destination city, IO Black Hammers attacked, blasting Gen 13 out of the craft. Caitlin fell to the ground, striking several buildings on her way down. Upon landing, she battled one of the Black Hammers, ultimately tearing apart his battle armor with her bare hands. Ready to interrogate her defeated opponent, she turned to see a strange creature looming over her.
