Synopsis for "The Trickster"
Roxy angrily dunks Grunge in the swimming pool after she catches him peeking at her and Caitlin getting dressed. Rainmaker advises him to give Roxy some space and head out into the desert for a hike. Grunge follows her advice and rides his motorcycle some distance out of the city. He sets off on his hike and soon notices a coyote following him. He feeds it a Twinkie, but it literally bites his ass. Angry, he chases it into a nearby ghost town. Feeling tired, he sits down and takes a nap. Later, he wakes up in 19th century clothes with a cowboy pointing a gun in his face. He knocks out the cowboy but then finds himself confronted by a masked swordsman. Grunge exhausts himself fighting the swordsman and passes out. He awakens to Roxy, Sarah, and Caitlin tending to him. They tracked him down using a device Lynch put in his motorcycle and are there to take him home. As they leave, he tells them about the coyote, and Rainmaker mentions legends her people tell of the coyote as “the Trickster”. Meanwhile, the coyote watches them walk away.
Trivia
- The lyrics Grunge sings while walking in the desert are from the song "Creep" by the American rock band Stone Temple Pilots.
