History
Jack Bonner was an editor and the boss of Rebecca Hailey. He convinced her to join the group of vigilante superheroes named Brigade in order to write an exposé for him. When he noticed Rebecca was taking too long on writing it, Jack called her to pressure her, giving her a one-week deadline.[2]
Eventually, more than three months passed, and Rebecca still hadn't delivered her exposé. Over a phone call, she explained Brigade has been whisked away to another planet and had had all sorts of problems, but Jack felt that was no excuse, because that's precisely what people wanted to read about. He told her to write the exposé or be fired, and hung up the phone.[1]
