If people need someone to root for, then we give 'em someone to root for. Life is a big action movie to the American people.
History
Jake was a Director of the US Government Task Force Operation: Knightstrike, operating from the Pentagon. In 1986, Jake attended a meeting with Director Alan Keever, Director Alexander Graves, and Jacob Wynnd. The group of men watched as WJBS aired leaked footage of Operation: Knightstrike, composed of John Stone, Cabbot Stone, Bruce Stinson and Albert Simmons, executing a drug cartel in Guatemala. Graves was unphazed, and instructed his coworkers to shut the news station down, retrieve their tape, and turn Knightstrike into a ghost.[1]
Two days later, Graves, Jake, and Keever discussed strategies at an emergency meeting. They agreed that life was a big action movie to the American people, and they just needed someone to root for, but the terrorist angle was overused. When Jake dropped a bag of merchandize about superheroes like Glory and Superpatriot for his niece and nephew, Graves became inspired and left the room. This seed of an idea later gave rise to the superteam Youngblood.[1]
