History
Jason Temple was the head of G.A.T.E. International. In 1992, he owned a personal super-team, Heavy Mettle, and he discussed the fact that they needed a proper leader with his assistant Smithers.[2] When the hero Supreme reappeared on Earth after 47 years, Temple was convinced he would be the perfect leader, and Smithers agreed.[1]
Temple sent Heavy Mettle to stop Supreme from killing the inmate Zachariah Grizlock, who was an essential asset for G.A.T.E. After Supreme defeated each member of Heavy Mettle, team member Decibel tried a different approach and told Supreme Temple could explain everything. Supreme only agreed to give them five minutes of their time. They travelled to G.A.T.E. Enterprises headquarters, arriving at the exact moment Temple had predicted. In less than five minutes, Temple convinced Supreme to join Heavy Mettle as field team leader.[3]
