Synopsis for "Chapter One"

In Morocco, in 1932, Sheldon Sampson was sitting down with his brother Walter, Grace Kennedy, and Captain Borges, asking him to take him to an island several hundred miles away from Cape Verde. Sheldon claimed that they were sure that there was an island there because he saw it in a dream. Captain Borges reluctantly agreed to sail Sheldon to the island. Sheldon recalled how he had decided to search for the island after losing much of his money during the Stock Market Crash. Later, they sailed to the island with Captain Borges. When Sheldon and Walter had returned from the island, they were called superheroes by the public and would help America through the Great Depression, Second World War, many conflicts, and many scandals.

In Los Angeles, in 2015, at a fundraiser for endometriosis, Brandon Sampson was at a fundraiser, where his sister Chloe was donating a check with money. Brandon claimed that Chloe was only donating the money for publicity. In Vermont, Brandon's cousin Jules and Ruby Red had arrived when they learned that the Utopian, Lady Liberty, and Brainwave were fighting Blackstar. Suddenly, Utopian crashed, slamming Blackstar into the ground as they were followed by other heroes. Walter used his powers to make Blackstar see himself near an ocean shore, much to the latter's confusion. While Blackstar was distracted, Utopian and Lady Liberty had beaten him to death. Utopian and Lady Liberty were annoyed that their children did not arrive to help them. In response, Brainwave attempted to defend them, reminding them that the children did not choose to be superheroes and were born into the business.

At 4 AM, in Los Angeles, Chloe was in a house with a male and female, complaining to them about her parents, when she suddenly collapsed and fell onto a table.
