Synopsis for "Die and Let Die part 2: A Call to Armageddon"

Assassin for hire John Ryder watches from his vehicle as Glory and Lady Supreme talk in a restaurant.  He takes off and notifies his employer Elizabeth Coffin that he has identified Lady Supreme. In the restaurant, Glory explains that Lady Supreme is her biological daughter by Supreme, not a genetically engineered superhuman.  Once they leave, Glory tells Lady Supreme to call her if she is needed and flies away. Lady Supreme walks through the city in the rain and angsts over her role as a superhero.  She senses Ryder following her in his vehicle and decides not to stop him so she can trace him to his employer later.  She comes across a boy crying and offers her help only for another boy to club her over the head.  She reveals herself as Lady Supreme, and the boys flee.  At a local TV station, a meteorologist detects a massive storm heading for the city. Once it arrives, fire rains down on the streets and intense winds send people and cars flying.  Out of the storm emerges a sword-wielding woman calling herself Manassa, and she demands Lady Supreme be brought to her or else she will destroy the planet.

Notes

  • This issue ends with a "To Be Continued" blurb, but the series was cancelled. The story continues in Asylum #10.
  • Glory recognizes Lady Supreme as her daughter so she is presumably from the 30th century. That makes her the future self of the Glory who appears in the Glory series and present-day Extreme Universe.
