History

In medieval times, Lord Cardinale possessed the Darkness. He was persuaded to invade nearby Faerie by recommendation of Archon Matthew Royale to further the power of his Darkness by melding it with their elvish magic.

While he had the city under siege, Lord Cardinale soon found himself overpowered. He summoned all of the Darkness power into himself, including his Darkness born lover, Elinor. Lord Cardinale was overpowered by Katarina Godliffe and her Witchblade. He was beheaded in battle and ended his reign of terror.

Royal carried his head with him for 800 years warning him of the upcoming Armageddon.
