Martian Man was an original member of the Guardians of the Globe.
History
Origins[]
Martian Man left Mars during the 70's and became an hero on Earth. Despite humanity and most of the scientific community not believing that he was an actual Martian he became favorly regarded when he joined the Guardians of the Globe.[1]
The Guardians meet Omni-Man for the first time.
They worked with Omni-man but were betrayed and murdered by him.[2]
Reboot[]
History repeats itself... or in this case reboots repeat themselves.

- Enhanced Martian Physiology: Martian Man possesses all the abilities common to his species, and some unique to himself.[1]
- Shape-Shifting: Like all Martians he could alter his physical shape and appearance, he could even imitate other people to the point where he could fool retinal scans or replicate fingerprints. He could gain the senses, strength, speed and reflexes of the beings he was imitating but he could not replicate superhuman abilities. He could combine the DNA of previously-imitated creatures to create a composite form.[1]
- Size Alteration: He was able to add up to 10 times the mass his physical body possessed in his normal form.[1]
- Elasticity
- Superhuman Strength: Martian Man possessed unknown levels of superhuman strength in his humanoid form and by turning into a silverback gorilla he could lift 2 tons.[1]
- Superhuman Speed: By turning into a cheetah Martian Man could run at 60 mph.[1]
- Superhuman Durability: Martian Man had greater physical resistance than the average martian. He was highly resistant to damage and could withstand great extremes of temperature and the stresses of traveling to the limits of and breaching a planet's atmosphere.[1]
- Self-Sustenance: Martian Man could survive unprotected in the vacuum of space.[1]
- Enhanced Lung Capacity: It is believed that Martian Man could store oxygen within his skull to survive without breathing for long periods.[1]
- Regeneration
- Flight: Martian Man had the unique ability among Martians to fly through the manipulation of gravitons.[1]
- Telepathy: Martian Man could telepathically communicate with other beings in his line of sight.[1]
