Quote1 Uh, bye, Supreme. Don't leave mad, just--leave. Quote2
Menagerie[1][src]

History

In 1992, Menagerie was part of the super-team called Heavy Mettle alongside Decibel, Skyraker and Riot, working under orders of Jason Temple to protect the G.A.T.E. International building. Menagerie's expertise in using his abilities to change into any half-man, half-animal combination grew at an alarming rate, so, fearing he soon wouldn't have a need for Heavy Mettle, Temple began searching for a leader for the team.[2]

Shortly after, Heavy Mettle were tasked with stopping the hero called Supreme from murdering inmate Zachariah Grizlock, who was an essential asset for G.A.T.E. International. Menagerie hit Supreme so hard that he ended up buried underground, but he was unaffected. After that, he teamed-up with Decibel, but when this proved ineffectual as well, Decibel changed tactics, explaining to Supreme that Grizlock had helped the entire nation and that their boss Temple could explain everything. Supreme agreed to visit G.A.T.E. International Headquarters for five minutes, which was more than enough for Temple to convince Supreme to join Heavy Mettle as field team leader.[3]
