  • Talk to me more about his Cloning. Would that be a variation on Transformation or Metamorphosis? I kind of would like this power linked but don't know enough about him.

Other power combinations include Dominant Genetics, Duplication...

    • I would suggest more of a transformation. Sh'rrrnn has/had unspecified powers. Silvestri's writings never truly elaborated on all of the abilities this alien could do outside of what she inherited from a host. I do remember reading she has advanced bio-tech implants that allow her to communicate with her homeworld. And I believe she had an ability to open portals to and from home. I would simply suggest Duplication and transformation.

I believe that's a requirement for any Top Cow author

    • Well then the extent of it I've read is what I mentioned earlier. Could probably add durability. Sh'rrrnn can survive most mortal wounds. Some Top Cow writers have written little for characters--mostly the ones that only lived for like...2 issues. You know?

  • Hey you're getting there. I've gotten the template to default in when you select "Contribute->Photo". This is mostly because I'm not sure why some people weren't filling it in to begin with.

Now that it's there, I can see that you've got the template defaulted in for some of your images that you've uploaded but haven't filled it out. I need your help and have you fill this information out or we'll have to delete the image for copyright. I've helped the previous images you've uploaded which you should get updates on but at this point I need you to be more self-sufficient so I don't keep doing it. Let me know if you have any questions. You haven't responded to the last four messages so I don't know if you were having any problems. Would be glad to assist with any questions. Otherwise you're doing awesome and we really appreciate your help.

    • Hi, Yeah, sorry about not responding sooner. I think I'm getting a better understanding of the issues you were referring to. I'm still learning of course. Not trying to ruin the flow of things here. Still contributing further updates as I properly format them to the specifics here. Recently just tinkered around with my printer/scanner and I'm confident now I'll be uploading sharper quality pictures from now on.

  • Thank for adding characters! Really appreciate the work you're putting into those. The image template is not optional, it's compulsory. Any image without a template will be deleted.

It looks like you're using old templates for the characters too. When creating a page, at the top there's a bunch of quicklinks. There's one for images, and one for characters. Select that on a new page and it automatically dumps all the attributes. This guarantees you're using the latest template and also saves time of trying to copy and paste form another character. Let me know if you had any questions on this. Keep up the good work.

    Hello!

Thank you for uploading new content to the Image Comics Database project!

We have lots of images in our database, 7,499 in fact, and in order to keep them organized we use a system of naming, categories and licensing added to each.

    1. Please review our Naming Conventions for Images. Images are categorized by name, so a descriptive name rather than a string of numbers is important.
      1. As a guide, look what other images in a character's gallery are called, and continue with the same name and number. If you upload a first image of a character, use "[Name] [Universe] 001". We didn't always use Universe, so it's best to stay consistent with what existing characters use in your character line. Example: Spawn characters do not have a universe like "Al Simmons", while Chew does use a universe like "Anthony Chu (Chew)".
      2. Issue covers should be given at least the title of the series, the volume and the number. A name similar to the issue is preferred: "Title Vol 1 1". Textless covers should be called "Title Vol 1 1 Textless". Files that do not indicate the issue number will be deleted.
    2. Images should be no less than 300px wide, unless no bigger image is available.
    3. Add the Image Template to the images you upload. This is mandatory. Fill it in as detailed here, or below.
    4. Selecting the proper license is vital to properly maintaining our images. Please choose the license which best describes the image you are uploading. The most commonly used are 'Comic Single Panel' and 'Comic Cover', respectively.
    5. Other fields that should be filled in: Issue, Subject1, Artist. Add Source if you've taken it from a different site. If you've taken it from a different site and don't know the issue, DO NOT UPLOAD IT.

For a more in-depth guide, see Help:Image Template Hub. In addition, please take a moment to review our policies page and more specifically our image policy.

Questions can be directed to any of our admins, or asked on our forums.

  • Thanks for the Jill Monroe images it was easier to source with the issue numbers. Reminder, please use the template and add the sources at the time of upload. You just copy the template from point 3 below. Let me know if you have any questions, I went ahead and fixed the ones you put up.

    • My pleasure. Happy to help. I grew up with the Wildstorm comic book series of the 90's. Looking forward to working on and adding more pages.

    • Haha, awesome. Yeah I grew up watching 90s X-Men. Characters were totally disproportionately drawn then!!

Hey my bad I probably wasn't clear earlier. I see you've uploaded TONs of content on other sites. I think that's awesome. One thing that we do differently on the comic sites is upload using a template.

So you'll notice when you create a gallery you link all your images of that character there. Well on this site it also auto-creates one when you properly use a template. Here I created this one for you: [[Category:Ray Bailey/Images]].

So for your Lord Defile pictures, you'll notice there's nothing Category:Lord_Defile/Images. It would rule if you could use the template and put "Lord Defile" in Subject1 and then it would auto populate this page.

Also, if the naming of the images were the same as the page name, so like "Lord Defile 001.jpg", "Lord Defile 002.jpg" that would help with knowing what to call the images. Hope that helps and cool stuff man!!!

Below is our policies for image uploads.
