Synopsis for "Deep, Dark Truthful Mirror"
Brotherhood of Man agents continue to surveil the New Men’s house. Reigert, their commander, gives the order to attack the team in public so as to discredit them. Inside, Dash finds a teenage boy eating in the kitchen. He claims to be Kodiak, but she does not believe him until he shifts into his bear form. Later, Proctor is trying to access a secure database when Byrd enters and says he and Reign are taking Exit out for his 21st birthday. The three go to a seedy bar unaware they are being stalked by the Brotherhood. Byrd discusses his insecurities with Reign while, after a few drinks, Exit picks a fight with a large, muscled man. Byrd and Reign try to talk him out of it, but Exit insists and proceeds to get beaten to a pulp. Reign sends Byrd to get the police and prepares to intervene but is attacked himself. His and Exit’s assailants reveal that they know about the New Men’s powers. Reign lashes out with his telekinesis, accidentally killing one of them. A crowd gathers as Byrd returns, and Reign realizes what he has just done. Back at the house, Dash pukes in the toilet and emerges from the bathroom with a swollen belly. She tells Kodiak she is pregnant, speculating that her superhuman metabolism has accelerated the process. Just then, they hear an exhausted Byrd stumble in. Reign and a badly beaten Exit are right behind him, warning that the Brotherhood of Man is coming.
