Synopsis for 1st story
Hanging on to a semi-truck, the mercenary cyborg Pummel attacks Ripclaw on the highway. Ripclaw slashes him in the side, causing him to crash onto the road at high speed. In Antarctica, Kimata’s assistant informs him that she irradiated the mercenaries at their meeting, and he declares that whichever one gets Ripclaw will receive medical treatment and become the new leader of the S.H.O.C.s. In rural Minnesota, a man hired to transport the captive Laura Pike taunts her with gruesome speculation about what his clients will do to her. Dez visits an underground medical lab to have experimental microchips installed in his cybernetic parts. The lab doctor refuses so he decides to install them himself. On the road, Ripclaw comes across a woman whose car has broken down. When he pulls over to help her, she attacks him. She is one of the mercenaries sent to kill him. He easily fends her off and runs away. Later, he visits a bar and orders a drink only to have another assassin point a gun at his head.
