History
Sara McKay is the wife of Grant McKay who was the founder of the Anarchist League of Scientists. Grant dedicated his life to science including the research and invention of the Pillar. This drove Sara to deconstructing her family putting the onus of raising the children on the oldest child, Pia.[1]
Second Dimension[]
Sara and Grant McKay never boarded the Pillar to travel through dimensions. Instead it exploded and killed their two children, Nate and Pia. Wanting to protect them, Sara and Grant began traveling through dimensions attempting to save Pia and Nathan from their inevitable death.[2]
Later, Grant II teleports with his wife, Sara II, to the cave where Pia and Nate are hiding from an onslaught of Dralyn. They attempt to abscond with them but Rebecca Dell accidentally knocks a stalagmite down from the cieling impaling Grant II. Sara II scowls at Rebecca and tells her it's, "always her!"[3]
Upon jumping to the next dimension, Sara escaped during a fight between the dimensionauts and was followed by Pia.[4] They was soon cornered by local Centurion troops purging that dimension of a plague and were burned with their flame throwers.[5] Soon, Grant arrived with only one adrenaline shot. Sara told him to use it to save Pia as she passed away.[6]
