Synopsis for "When Comes A Shadow"
In a flashback, Paul Johnstone was contemplating being infected, when the doctor recommended that he join an encounter group. Then, Paul went for a long walk, until he had come upon a neighborhood, where he fought two men and got beaten up. In the present, Captain Frakes was at a bar with Lieutenant Jacks and claimed that he did not deserve to be suspended. At the penthouse, Hardedge turned on Vendetta and he was attacked by an angry BlackJak. Paul and Christina watched a news report of BlackJak fighting Hardedge. In the past, Paul was inspired by the incident to become a vigilante, wanting to make criminals suffer as he will. In the present, ShadowHawk intervened in the fight between Hardedge and Dedline and BlackJak. Then, BlackJak defeated Dedline and Vortex assisted Hardedge by using her powers to knock him, ShadowHawk, and BlackJak into the building where Beto happened to be. Vortex panicked and begged them to help Beto and ShadowHawk did. An old man told Vortex that Beto was snatched earlier and taken to the Underground and given to the Underlord. ShadowHawk agreed to help Tajana find Beto.
