Synopsis for "The Monster Within, Part 1: Brothers Under The Skin"

Phoebe sent ShadowHawk to McLean, Virginia to a government facility with a project called "Born Again", in which they resurrect dead people as vampires. Outside of the facility, ShadowHawk saw Chapel blast open a door. Upon becoming acquainted, they fought until they were interrupted by Hawk's Shadow and three gunmen.

At a morgue in New York City, Jacks saw the corpse of Captain Frakes and threw up after seeing his face after it was shot at point blank with a shotgun.

ShadowHawk and Chapel joined forces to fight Hawk's Shadow and the gunmen. ShadowHawk learned that Hawk's Shadow was released by a man named Wynn in exchange for watching over the facility.

At the Metro Hospital, an actress named Tina Andrews visited Tina Ried with a bouquet of flowers.

ShadowHawk and Chapel defeated the gunmen and knocked Hawk's Shadow off of his feet by punching him in the face at the same time. Chapel was prepared to execute Hawk's Shadow, but was convinced to spare his life by ShadowHawk, who expressed that all life was precious to him.

Then, they entered the facility in search of a cure, fighting through armed guards. As they fought through, Chapel explained various possible theories regarding the virus' origins. They arrived at Section D-11, where they entered a vault, only to be led into an explosive trap, which they both survived. ShadowHawk offered to let Chapel join him in finding the cure, although the latter recommended that the former ask the WildC.A.T.s for help instead.

After parting ways, Hawk's Shadow and two gunmen entered the facility to confront Chapel, while Phoebe teleported ShadowHawk away through the ether to take him to the WildC.A.T.s' location.
