Shrinking Ray is a former member of the Guardians of the Globe who had the ability to shrink to small sizes. This power allowed him to be able to escape traps quite easily.

History

Origins

Ray was one of the many heroes who showed up for the selection of the new Guardians of the Globe and was one of the few who managed to actually join the team.

Guardians of the Globe

Ray fought the Flaxans when they invaded Earth and helped repel the invasion. He also helped in another invasion but the aliens ended up retiring when Kid Fusion took out their mothership. When the Guardians rescued Invincible from Machine Head's men he defeated Magmaniac by crawling into his head.

He was one of the many heroes who fought Omnipotus until the villain was defeated by Black Samson.

When Mastermind took control of many people and the Guardians were unable to stop him Ray managed to sneak to him but before he had a chance to take attack him the villain was taken out by Invincible, making Ray quite mad as that was supposed to be his moment to shine.

Death

When the Lizard League tried to take over a nuclear silo Ray was one of the Guardians sent to stop them but after witnessing Dupli-Kate seemingly dying he attacked Komodo Dragon, just to be swallowed whole.

• Shrinking: Ray can decrease his body's size, mass and density through an act of will. He usually reduces his size to an height of 6 inches. By reducing his size without reducing his weight he can still strike with the strength of a normal human while shrunk. By decreasing his weight and mass Ray can reduce the effects of gravity over his body, allowing him to fall slowly or drift on air currents.
  • Dimensional Travel: By shunting more than 99.99% of his mass Ray can enter a subatomic universe.
