History

In the universe of The Humans, which takes place in an alternate 1970s where rather than man being the dominant species, it was instead dominated by species of anthropomorphic apes while the former were animals. Humans are given a derogatory name of “Skins”. The name being derived from the species hairless bodies and lack of fur to which some apes find unsettling.

The Humans, have a barn in their H.Q. that houses skins of both genders. Used sometimes as cheap labor to clean up the property. And also used as guinea pigs for their test rials in Spazm before moving unto ape trials.[1]

Though the main money in keeping skins was using them to fight in blood games such as "skin-fights" where apes would bet on the outcome. These events were hosted in Flex-Trucking owned by Abe Simian as a side business to his other criminal ventures.[2]
