Synopsis for 1st story
In Siberia, Winter and Stormwatch Two battle the armored cyborg M.A.D.-1. He swiftly overpowers the team, and Winter reluctantly leaves his teammates behind to pursue him. Aboard Skywatch, Weatherman One interrupts her cybernetic augmentation process to join Battalion and engineer Link Adams in seeing Fujiās improved containment unit. Link also shows them Hellstrikeās new cybernetic body. In Russia, Winter tracks M.A.D.-1 to a nuclear missile silo where the villain intends to launch a missile at Moscow. Winter recalls how M.A.D.-1 was once his fellow soldier Constantin Yevgraf. Yevgraf volunteered to become M.A.D.-1 as a Cold War doomsday weapon. On his first mission, he massacred Afghan mujahedeen and their families in Kabul. Winter tried to stop him and nearly died in the process. M.A.D.-1 was then deactivated. While Winter recovered, Synergy activated his powers, and he joined StormWatch. In the present, he uses his powers to defeat M.A.D.-1 and prevent the missiles from launching. He notifies Weatherman One, and she lets him know Stormwatch Two was rescued. Meanwhile, a brainwashed Sunburst secretly transfers Skywatchās files on the WildC.A.T.s to Defile.
