Synopsis for 1st story
After returning to Skywatch from Flashpoint’s funeral, the members of Stormwatch are informed of a full team meeting that evening and shown their new teleportation signal badges. In London, Weatherman and recruits a veteran superhuman named Jenny Sparks. Next, he goes to New York and enlists Jack Hawksmoor, a vigilante genetically engineered to live in cities. Then, he goes to Sicily and collects an assassin named Rose Tattoo. Finally, after severing Union’s Stormwatch retainer, he visits the UN council only to find it comprised of new, anonymous, and secretive members. At the team meeting, Weatherman introduces the three new members and reorganizes Stormwatch into three squads: Prime, Red, and Black. Battalion is reassigned as a training officer, Synergy as a recruiter, and Nautika and Sunburst as reserve combat analysts. All others not assigned to a squad are fired. Afterward, Battalion demands Bendix explain his assignments while Synergy fully activates Swift’s powers. Undertow returns to his New York apartment only to be killed by a bomb when he enters. Germany requests help with a rogue superhuman killing people in the countryside so Weatherman deploys Stormwatch Prime and Red. They teleport in and immediately engage the killer, a super-strong energy manipulator who calls himself Father. In the Skywatch cryogenic prison, Bendix thaws out and interrogates Father’s creator, Martin Krug, then shoots him. New Stormwatch Prime leader Winter has the team combine their powers to stick a teleport badge to Father’s chest and has Skywatch teleport away the lower half of his body, killing him.
