Synopsis for 1st story
On the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona, Ripclaw searches for a missing young woman named Sarah Rainmaker. Once he finds her, they are attacked by armored International Operations troops called Keepers. Aboard Skywatch, Backlash and Battalion finish a training session and check in on Hellstrike whose body is breaking down since battling Deathtrap. Also there is Flashpoint who remains angry at both Backlash and Battalion over Stormwatch Prime’s capture in Kuwait. Weatherman One informs Battalion that the UN Council wants to speak with him about the Gamorra incident. Before he goes to the meeting, Backlash reveals he is quitting Stormwatch to track down the Daemonite who possessed Diane LaSalle. Rather than discipline Battalion for disobeying orders in Gamorra, the UN Council orders him and Stormwatch One to go to Arizona and defend Rainmaker from the Keepers. With Hellstrike injured, Weatherman One orders Strafe to take his place on the mission. The team teleports down and engages the Keepers alongside Ripclaw and Rainmaker. She proves to be a superhuman with weather-manipulating powers which is why the Keepers want to capture her. At the UN, U.S. government representatives threaten to expose the facts of the Gamorra incident. The team defeats the Keepers and returns Rainmaker to her family, but then Synergy arrives with Ivana Baiul who takes the girl into custody.
