Synopsis for "Glory Days"

In 1945, following Hitler’s suicide, Supreme is with the U.S. Army during its invasion of Germany, wiping out the remaining Nazi forces.  Alerted to the existence of a secret Nazi bunker, Supreme investigates and finds the Nazi villain the Baron vowing to fight on.  The Baron activates a giant android, Die Maschine, to attack Supreme, but Supreme simply punches its head off and captures the Baron. Later, at the White House, Supreme informs President Truman and his fellow Allies that, seeking a greater purpose in life, he is leaving for outer space immediately.  Before he leaves, his teammate and lover Glory protests, telling Supreme how important he is to America.  Unmoved, he says he wants her to go with him, but he knows she will not.  He flies away, leaving her in tears.  Decades later, after returning to Earth, Supreme flies to Glory’s Manhattan apartment.  Upon seeing him, she knocks him through the roof and flies after him.  In Germany, neo-Nazis find the Baron’s tomb.  Glory and Supreme argue in the sky over Manhattan. He tells her he returned to Earth to be with her, initially unaware how much time had passed.  When he cannot say for sure that he will stay with her, she flies away.  Meanwhile, the Baron’s corpse is brought to the U.S. to be resurrected by Project: Born Again.
