Synopsis for "Family Resemblance"
Simple Simon has possessed the body of a Supreme from an alternate timeline and wreaks havoc at Fort Myerson outside of Washington, D.C., slaughtering the U.S. Army soldiers trying to stop him. Meanwhile, the alternate Supreme’s consciousness is trapped without form in interdimensional space. Supreme arrives with the Starguard and is stunned to see Simon in the form of his exact double. Simon attacks, and, as he is still without his powers, Supreme relies on Mjolnir to defend himself. Probe flies off to investigate a hunch while the rest of the Starguard joins the battle. Probe goes to Grizlock’s secret hideout below Fort Knox and finds Simon’s original body comatose. Back at Fort Myerson, Simon defeats the Starguard one by one and is about to crush Supreme with a boulder when the alternate Supreme’s consciousness forces him out of his body. The alternate Supreme then helps Supreme to his feet and, despite the Starguard’s suspicions, explains what he just did. Probe returns and reveals that she deactivated Simon’s consciousness transferal device, enabling the alternate Supreme to return. The threat ended, the alternate Supreme returns to his native timeline, and the Starguard say goodbye to Supreme before going back to the future.
