Synopsis for "Slow Emotion Replay"
Marcus Langston, now the former Sentinel, writes in his computer journal about his removal from Youngblood field duty and promotion to administrator. He recalls meeting with Keever, being introduced to his replacement Brett Butler, and holding back his anger when Graves spoke warmly of his new role training Bloodpool cadets. Afterward, he sullenly drove home and hugged his wife. He thinks of his former teammates and wonders how they will react. Riptide cries in her bed over her nude pictorial and subsequent firing from the team; Dutch investigates the death threats against him; Masada aids the police; Cougar crouches atop a building in the moonlight; Photon undergoes tests for Youngblood scientists. Langston dismisses the press coverage of his promotion and his celebrity status. He reiterates his belief in the team as a force for good and his desire to make the world a better place. As he completes his journal entry, he resigns himself to his new job and thinks he may feel better about it once he starts.
