Synopsis for "Home, Bitter Home"
Spawn continues to receive visions of his past life. He recalls being killed by a man holding a flame-thrower on him.
He snaps back to reality to hear the Clown laughing at him. The Clow tells him its about power, and not trust. That's how he ended up loosing Wanda Blake to his best friend, Terry Fitzgerald.
Gareb invites Spawn to stand by the fire with them. He walks away as Cogliostro warns him to start trusting them as they are not his enemy.
Jason Wynn finishes a phone call where he sells guns to both sides of a war. Chapel laughs how Wynn is the only one to Wynn and questions his orders. Wynn tells him fragments of his guns were found in Bowery Alleyways and he wants them off the street as they could be traced back to him. Chapel agrees to head there tonight and retrieve the weapons.
Later that evening, gun shots riddle the alleyways of bums as Chapel enters a killing spree on the bums. He pauses and announces he's looking for weapons that belong to his boss that he wants back. Otherwise, he'll kill them. When Chapel says something, it sparks a flashback to Spawn that makes him recall being on a mission with Jess Chapel. He recalls being killed on that mission.
Terry tells Wanda he has to go, and he has to investigate somethings he's found.[1] As he leaves, Wanda pulls out Al's wedding ring that Cyan had found and begins crying.[2]
Spawn approaches Jess. Jess laughs in his face and spits on him thinking he's a joke in the cape. When Jess opens fire, Spawn's suit disables him. As they battle, he realizes by the moves he's making that it's Jess Chapel and he has flashbacks of training with him. Jess realizes it's Al. He starts freaking out that Al is still alive. Jess lets off a rocket that blows up where Spawn was standing. He lights a cigarette, and shakes in terror thinking he's one and contemplating what just happened.
At Central Intelligence Agency Headquarters, Terry investigates further into Wynn's arms shipments. Terry realizes some shipments of missals never arrived their destination. An alarm goes off on Wynn's computer informing him that Terry is investigating him.
Spawn re-appears out of the shadows and uses his suit to attack him. He lets Chapel live as Chapel begins freaking out about how he could possibly still be alive after killing him many years before.
