The Unopans are habitants of the planet, Unopa. They would encounter the Viltrumites long ago, but would resist them from taking over their planet. Their efforts of resistance caused the near extinction of their people. Many Unopans would escape the planet and become a nomadic species. In order to ensure their survival, they would establish breeding camps to populate to the point where sex would be forbidden among them. They would later join the Coalition of Planets in an effort to combat the Viltrumites.
