Synopsis for 1st story
Warblade and Ripclaw fight their way through the Faction, convinced Pillar intended for them to be killed on their missions for him. Pillar blasts Warblade with his chest weapon, but then one of the Faction uses Ripclaw’s claws to disable it. Warblade discovers the Daemonites’ new body armors explode on contact with each other, enabling him and Ripclaw to kill the remaining Faction members. At last, Warblade pins Pillar to the ground and prepares to kill him, but Pillar insists he is still the man they once knew. Warblade cannot bring himself to do it and lets Pillar go. Ripclaw returns to his tribe’s land with the elder’s son and the other young men the Faction had abducted. Meanwhile, Warblade goes back to Japan and asks his kendo teacher to help him control his anger.
