Synopsis for "Fire From Heaven, Chapter 4 of 14"

The issue opens at Tranquility Base, a station on the Moon built to replace Stormwatch's Command Post facility which was destroyed several months previous. Inside, scientists are watching world broadcasts reporting increased natural disasters around the globe--earthquakes, hurricanes, and so on. They determine that some sort of rift is forming on the far side of the moon and it is pulling the moon slightly out of orbit, and the gravitational effects of this are what is causing the natural disasters on Earth. Their talk is interrupted as the Sword of Damocles and the Bounty Hunters barge in and attack.

Back on Earth, the Wetworks team stationed at Waering Industries are studying the natural disasters themselves but have no explanation. Some members want to help while others say that's not their job. The team seems lost without the leadership of Dane, who has gone AWOL. Armand Waering finally orders them to stay put at Waering Industries and dismisses them. Later, Mother One visits Grail in his quarters and seems to want some of his personal attentions, when suddenly she panics and runs off to the puzzlement of Grail.

On Gamorra Island, Dane and Taboo are trekking through the jungle. Dane explains that he and the other Team 7 members are weakening since their Gen-Factor was stolen, and Dr. Tsung is the only one who can help. They are then attacked by a flying craft which Dane identifies as a Marc-4 A.T.A.K. Gunship, a design from Waering Industries which Dane didn't think was in production yet. They flee from the incoming fire and end up jumping off the top of a waterfall in order to escape. The gunship leaves, presuming them dead.

In the Pacific Ocean, we learn of the Aqnarian Nation, an aquatic Night Tribe that lives under the sea and has long honored a neutrality treaty with the WereNation and the Vampire Nation. In their capitol city of Tritonis, their leader is upset at the feuding between the werewolves and vampires and decides that his nation will fight back. It's unclear in this issue, but it seems the Aqnarians blame the natural disasters on this feuding. But then there is a series of tremors that brings the surrounding undersea cliffs crashing down on the city, destroying it. The liege is killed, but one of his entourage survives and swears vengeance.

Back at Waering Industries, Armand Waering leaves for a party and says that he can't have Wetworks take matters into their own hands because they might learn of the "truce" he has with Kaizen Gamorra. However, as soon as he's gone, Wetworks overpowers a guard and makes off with one of Waering's stealth jets. At the party, Waering runs into his business rival Wayne Gordon, head of Gortech. They trade barbs and Gordon threatens a hostile takeover of Waering Industries. He leaves and Armand is furious, switching to his werewolf form for a moment before his associate Lupo convinces him to revert to human form before somebody sees him.

In Gamorra, some of Kaizen's Hunter-Killers are on the trail of Taboo and Dane, but they turn the tables on the hunters and take them out. They are about to continue to Gamorra City when Battalion of Stormwatch shows up and says that they will both be coming with him.
